  • We arrived late the night before, found the boat in the dark and slept on the boat while tied up in the slip.
  • Quite a few sailboats at Pike's Bay Marina.
  • And we're off, with Pike's Bay Marina behind us. We had a Captain with us for the first few hours helping us become familiar with the boat, which is a Cataline 350 (35' boat).

  • We dropped the Captain off and ate lunch back at the marina. Bryce is ready to go! After checking the wind report for the night, we chose Raspberry Bay on the mainland as our anchoring destination for the night to give us protection from the forecasted easterly and southerly winds.

  • We anchored in Raspberry bay and rowed ashore in the dinghy to explore the beach.

  • Bryce learns how to row for the first time. He figured it out quickly, and with these boats it can be challenging to go straight.
