  • We paddled down the rest of Knife and camped near the Ottertrack. Here we are swimming at the portage between Ottertrack and Knife! Not many people around here as we are about 20 miles into the BWCA.

  • We found a bow and arrow at our 4th campsite that the kids played with.

  • A bear came through camp around 6 pm when we were eating dinner, freeze-dried Lasagna. It was about 25 yards from us. We scared it away. And then made sure to hang the food pack good!

  • It was a windy day and the wind continued into the night, as evident by the blowing hammock. We had 3 night's in a row like this which is quite unusual.
  • Bryce was a portaging machine! He typically finished a portage well ahead of my first trip (I did two trips with each one).
