Sleeping Giant with Maddie, October 2019

  • We stayed in Grand Marais Thursday night. First time with our dog Neiko in a hotel.
  • Grand Marais harbor.
  • I was unable to find a map before the trip and was planning on buying one, but the park was all closed down for the season. Maddie had the great idea of taking a photo of the map on display which we referred to on my phone throughout the trip. We started at the ? near the center, did the Kabeyun Trail to Tee Harbour the first day, then took the Talus Lake trail to Norma Lake the 2nd day and then completed the loop back via the Sawyer Bay trail.

  • Neiko always wanted to lead and didn't tire out at any point on the trip.
  • There were several amazing sites to choose from at Tee Harbour. We chose this one which was out of the wind.

  • After setting up camp we went exploring on the Tee Harbour peninsula.
